Anyone ever use Isohop?

I was getting ready to dry-hop my IPA when I noted I had TWO packets of
Columbus hops. I am sure I bought just enough for the batch.
Unfortunately I was lax on my usually meticulous note-taking, but I
must have forgotten a bittering addition. Sure enough, upon tasting,
not nearly bitter enough for an IPA. :-(

I'm thinking of using Isohop, but have never used it before. Anyone
have experience with this or any other isomerized hop extract? Anyone
still lurking here??

I've never used it, so I can't answer your question. But an
alternative would be to make a pint of malt-extract and water
(to normal gravity) and boil the extra packet of hops in it
for whatever the time was. Then cool and add to the fermenter.

I don't know if a pint is large enough to suck all the goodie out
of an ounce of hops, but that's what I'd try. If it didn't work,
my wife would still drink it.

I had trouble finding Isohop (NB says it is out of stock).

Found this: http://www.hoptech.com/products/iso-alpha-extract-2-oz

Cheaper than Isohop. Found the company very communicative. Super fast
shipping. Added it to my beer and it tastes GREAT. Saved an unbalanced
IPA!
