Strike one: Posted from Google.
Strike two: References "AOL's Beer & Home Brewing Forum", but the URL is
not to an AOL site.
Strike three: When went to the site, it attempted to start a Java
application. Not Javascript, but Java. There is no conceivable
justification for Java in this context, so my presumption is malware. I
certainly am not going to take a chance of infecting myself to find out.
Most folks here probably never saw your submission since it came from
Google Groups. Most of the rest of them were smart enough not to click
on an unknown link in an article posted from Google Groups by someone
who didn't supply their name. Anyone who would allow a Java application
to run on their workstation from an unknown site is either clueless or
reckless.
Finally, let's examine my "claim", as in "before making these claims".
I said, "It would appear that this site contains malware." Your site is
a textbook example of the telltale signs of a malicious site, and an
excellent illustration of exactly what people should avoid if they don't
want to spend the next few hours trying to disinfect their workstation.
If I were posting this later in the day I'd say "Now it's time for a
homebrew." I will toast your site tonight when I do drink one.

I'm sure there are other similar malware checkers so I suggest running them before making these claims.
