Looking to use a digital thermometer for my kettle. The probe diameter 3/16". The smallest bulkhead size I can find is 1/4". Any suggestions? Thank you - Dan

No idea but does the whole thermometer have to reside on the side of the
kettle? I use a meat thermometer and the probe is 0.160" in diameter
which is about 25mils smaller than 3/16". Should be able to strap into a
bulkhead adapter.

I made a holder and hang it in from the kettle rim:

What I find really practical is that the digital display wand receives
the temperature information wirelessly and has an alarm function. It can
clip to my belt so I can do some chores while waiting for the
temperature to come up but without risking a boil-over. Like sorting tax
paperwork ...

Thanks Joerg. Just the probe needs to be inserted (~3"). Same functionality as what you have - digital with an alarm. Best - Dan
